Although she hardly needs the publicity to promote her upcoming concert tour, Barbra Streisand will make her first appearance on the Tony Awards since the Nixon administration. CBS said today the singer-actress is set to present a trophy during the 70th annual Tonys on June 12. The Tiffany network will air the ceremony live from the Beacon Theatre in the East at 8 PM ET and delayed in the West.

Neither CBS nor the Tony Awards folks would say which award Streisand, who was given an honorary Tony in 1970 and was previously nominated twice, as the star of Funny Girl in 1964 and for her featured performance in I Can Get It For You Wholesale, two years earlier.

Streisand, who with STX Entertainment is taking on the task of reviving Gypsy for the big screen and playing Momma Rose in the Barry Levinson-helmed picture, next releases “ENCORE: Movie Partners Sing Broadway,” her third Broadway tribute album, later in 2016.
