RT Features and Martin Scorsese and Emma Tillinger Koskoff have come aboard to finance Uncut Gems, the latest film from Josh and Bennie Safdie. RT Features and Elara Pictures will produce, with Sikelia’s Scorsese and Tillinger Koskoff  now executive producers.

WME Global secured the financing and is repping worldwide rights at the Cannes film market. Plot details are under wraps, but the Safdie brothers are known for their gritty New York-set tales. The are directing and co-wrote the script with Ronald Bronstein.

“I’m delighted to be working with RT to support a new generation of filmmakers,” Scorsese said in the announcement of the deal. “The Safdie Brothers bring an exciting new perspective and tremendous vitality to their storytelling.”

The Safdies recently wrapped production on the Robert Pattinson starrer Good Time.

RT Features’ credits include Francis Ha and The Witch, and it recently produced Gaspar Noe’s Love and James Schamus’ Indignation. Its slate at Cannes includes James Gray’s Ad Astra. Sikelia’s recent credits include the upcoming Scorsese pic Silence and the HBO series Vinyl.

Scorsese is repped by WME and LBI Entertainment. The Safdies are repped by WME and Lichter Grossman.
