Disney’s big swings at the global box office continue with The Jungle Book passing $700M worldwide on Monday. At the same time, Captain America: Civil War continued its offshore campaign yesterday with $24M on what was a holiday for many markets, bringing its cume to $224.3M ahead of the domestic, Chinese and Russian bows. It had already grossed a Captain fantastic $200.4M out of the gate in its overseas debut this weekend.

Along with Zootopia, Disney is proving it’s not a small world after all when it comes to box office this year. The company already passed $1B international on March 25; the fastest it has ever reached the threshold — and more milestones are in the offing.

The Jon Favreau-helmed Jungle-naut has a $255.8M domestic gross through Monday and $452.8M internationally. That brings the worldwide cume to $708.6M. TJB is currently the No. 4 film of the year domestically, internationally, and globally and joins Zootopia ($935.4M) to become Disney’s second 2016 release to cross the $700M global threshold.

Mowgli and the pack added more than $100M to their global total this past weekend thanks to Baloo-sized holds in the U.S. and internationally. Domestically, TJB has been the No. 1 film every day of its run and, in its third consecutive No. 1 frame, posted the 6th-best 3rd weekend of all time with $43.7M.

Overseas, China is the lead market with $138.8M to become Disney’s third biggest release in the country behind Zootopia ($234.4M/1.52B yuan) and Avengers: Age Of Ultron ($235.5M/1.46B yuan). In India, TJB is the highest-grossing Hollywood release of all time with $34.4M. Other top markets include the UK ($48M), Mexico ($19.9M) and France ($19.4M). The film opens in Korea on June 9 and in Japan on August 11.

Meanwhile, in Marvel land, Captain America: Civil War grossed $24M on Monday to bring the total to $224.3M. Korea continues to lead for the Team Cap/Team Iron Man face-off with $30.5M. That’s followed by the UK and its $28M — made stronger by a $6.9M bank holiday Monday — Mexico at $22.5M, Brazil with $14.4M and Australia’s $11.8M. Asia as a region on Monday grossed $10.8M while Latin America brought $4.6M to the fight.

Upcoming markets this week for Cap 3 are Italy tomorrow, followed by Russia and Argentina on Thursday and China on Friday when the domestic release also kicks off.
