PREVIOUSLY, May 11: ABC is dropping the needle — or should we say “pushing play”? — on a new series dedicated to the music of the 1980s, ’90s and ’00, Premiering on June 30, Greatest Hits will feature new and veteran acts performing songs from the era.

Arsenio-Hall-310x400__120529212241Arsenio Hall and country singer Kelsea Ballerini will host the 9 PM show, which will run six episodes and feature unique solo performances, duets and tributes. The network didn’t tip its hand on just who it has lined up to belt out the songs, but each episode of Greatest Hits will highlight a five-year period celebrating the biggest hits from that era.

The series is produced by AEG Ehrlich Ventures. Ken Ehrlich, James McKinlay and Raj Kapoor serve as executive producers, and Leon Knoles directs. David Wild is writer-producer.
