The lifestyle cable network behind Tiny House Nation has moved into the world of prefabricated homes.

FYI has ordered eight half-hour episodes of Prefabulous (working title) from Vox Entertainment, Vox Media’s Los Angeles-based programming and development division. It was announced today as part of Vox Media’s annual presentation to advertisers. Curbed, Vox Media’s real estate and home brand, will partner with FYI to provide editorial, creative and promotional elements for the series. Production begins immediately.

“No longer the generic pre-fab homes of yesteryear, architects and designers are building high-end, architecturally stunning, yet affordable fully customizable homes and getting it all done on a very short timeline, ” says FYI. In each episode, viewers will follow an individual or family as they embark on building their dream pre-fab home.

FYI was the first network to capture the cultural phenomenon of downsizing and living tiny with ‘Tiny House Nation’ and now we’ll delve into another millennial facing home trend with pre-fab living.”

Marty Moe, Chad Mumm, and Kelsey Keith executive produce for Vox Entertainment. Gena McCarthy and Liz Fine will serve as exec producers for FYI.
