EXCLUSIVE: Echo Lake Entertainment, the company who produced and/or financed such films as Truth, Nebraska and several Pedro Almodovar films, just hired talent manager Peter McGrath and literary manager Adam Riback. In addition, it promoted two others.

The 18 year-old company has both management and production/financing divisions. McGrath brings to Echo Lake a diverse list of international actors including Eka Darville (Marvel’s Jessica Jones), John Harlan Kim (The Librarians), Maia Mitchell (The Fosters), Naomi Scott (Power Rangers) and Odessa Young (When the Street Lights Go On). Riback joins Echo Lake from Management 360.  He brings an impressive list of upcoming talent including BAFTA nominated director Oscar Sharp (The Karman Line), Blacklist writers Leo Sardarian (Nicholas) and Spencer Mondshein (The Search) and TV writer Andrea Ciannavei (Borgia, American Odyssey).

In addition, the company also promoted Chelsea Benson and Bobby Hoppey to manager and creative executive, respectively. Benson has been with the company for three years as an assistant and Hoppey has been at Echo Lake for four years, also as an assistant.

Steve Parkinson also joined Echo Lake as the Director of Finance, managing the Blue Lake Media Fund’s distribution business. He will also focus on financial models and deal analysis for the company’s entertainment investments. Steve joins Echo Lake from Goldman Sachs in London where he worked in risk analysis and business development.

The company was founded in 1997 by its CEO Doug Mankoff who runs the company with Andrew Spaulding and Mike Marcus.

Echo Lake’s first television series, SyFy’s Van Helsing, is currently in production and they have financed and/or produced over 30 features.
