Blue Bloods season finale faded slightly, week to week, but nonetheless shone as Friday’s most watched broadcast, bagging 9.9 million viewers at 10 PM (and 1.0 demo rating). Likewise ABC’s get-rich reality series Shark Tank dominated Friday’s demo ratings, but it too slipped week to week, from a 1.5 to a 1.2 rating in the 18-49 age bracket.

CBS finished first in viewers (7.9M), and the demo (1.0) for primetime, as broadcast’s overall demo usage dropped 7% week to week.

At 8 PM, CBS’s The Amazing Race won its hour in the demo (0.9) and in overall audience (5.3M). NBC’s added-value 90-minute 151210_2952285_Adele_Live_in_New_York_Cityrebroadcast of Adele Live in New York City (0.7, 4.4M)  – a repeat of December’s special with new songs added – generated the network’s biggest overall crowd for the slot in nearly a year. ABC’s Friday 8 PM premiere of Beyond the Tank (0.6, 3.6M) surged by 1.7M viewers from its most recent telecast this past Tuesday at 10, marking its most watched broadcast since January. CW’s The Vampire Diaries clocked a 0.3 rating and 900K viewers, after which The Originals, at 9 PM logged the same demo rating and 820K viewers.

Hawaii Five-O dominated 9 PM in total viewers (8.4M, and 1.1 demo rating), but could not keep pace with Shark Tank as it doubled its lead-in, demo-wise.

And what of Fox? The network aired movie Think Like a Man from 8-10 PM last night and, for that, amassed a 0.5 demo rating and 1.56M viewers.

At 10 PM, while Blue Bloods out-marshaled competitors in the timeslot, ABC’s 20/20 (1.0, 5.2M) out-ranked NBC’s 90-minute Dateline (0.9, 4.7M) for the sixth week in overall audience. Even so, Dateline reported its most watched Friday telecast in six weeks.
