Well this is a nice surprise – earlier today Warner Bros dropped the first trailer for its upcoming crime thriller The Accountant, and it’s looking like it might be kind of awesome. The film stars newly-minted Batman Ben Affleck as Christian Wolff, a math savant and possible sociopath whose small-town CPA practice is actually a front for his real job – freelance accountant for some of the world’s most dangerous criminal organizations. With the Treasury Department starting to close in on him, he takes on a legitimate client – an accounting clerk at a state-of-the-art robotics company who has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. As the books get uncooked, the body count starts to rise. Sold, Warner Bros, sold. See for yourself in the trailer above.
Directed by Gavin O’Connor from a script by Bill Dubuque, The Accountant stars Affleck, alongside Anna Kendrick , J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, Jean Smart, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Jeffrey Tambor, and John Lithgow. It hits theaters October 14.

Why is it so visually bleak? Did they use Batman V Superman’s cinematographer?
Ok Affleck, I see what you did there. Crunch those numbers, bro.
Wow. One of the best trailers I’ve seen in a long time. I hope the movie lives up to it. Let the Oscar chatter begin.
You need to watch more trailers. Live a little.
Nerd Assassin! Love it!!
Whats with trailers on youtube putting a 5 second teaser of the trailer before the trailer? Its annoying.
