Will Clarke’s Altitude Film Distribution has acquired UK and Ireland rights to Simon Dixon’s Tiger Raid. Bankside is handling international sales. The film, which stars Brian Gleeson (Assassin’s Creed), Damien Molony (Kill Your Friends) and Sofia Boutella (Kingsman: Secret Service), tells the story of Joe and Paddy, members of a private security crew working in the Middle East. They have been assigned to kidnap the daughter of a powerful man as part of a major robbery – a Tiger Raid. Pic had its world premiere in Tribeca in April. As the raid progresses, deeply hidden truths about both men’s pasts are revealed, fracturing their already fragile relationship and forcing them to face up to who they really are in order to survive its violent and shocking conclusion.

Simon Dixon directed the Dixon Baxi Evans film, which was produced by Gareth Coulam Evans with the participation of The Irish Film Board in association with Samson Films. Adapted from the stage play entitled Radio Luxembourg by Mick Donnellan, the film was written by Donnellan, Dixon and Evans. Martina Niland and David Collins co-produce for Samson Films in Ireland.

Altitude is getting more expansive with its distribution operations. The company, which also produces, sells and finances pictures, scored a big hit last year with Asif Kapadia feature length doc Amy about the tragic singer Amy Winehouse. Its future slate includes a Diego Maradona doc, again with Kapadia, and Jesse Owens biopic Race.
