ABC announced two upcoming specials as part of its 2016-17 programming slate.

ABC logo 1David Blaine returns to the network for a follow-up to his 2013 ratings hit David Blaine: Real or Magic, Emmy winner Matthew Akers, who helmed Real or Magic, will be back to direct the new untitled special, and Blaine will executive produce, along with Justin Wilkes and Dave O’Connor for Radical Media.

Also on tap is Ali: The Champion (working title), a two-hour special which will honor the athlete, humanitarian and civil rights activist for his goodwill efforts that have impacted individuals around the world. ABC says the special will feature live musical performances, and his closest friends and contemporaries “who come together to celebrate the man who’s known the world over as simply The Greatest.” Ron Weisner is the executive producer.

No word on air dates for either project yet.
