Fox has dropped the first trailer for its 24 franchise reboot 24: Legacy. How much does the network like this? It just gave the series the post-Super Bowl slot for its debut on February 5 — the network’s first drama to have its world premiere after the nation’s most-watched TV event. The show’s two-night premiere continues February 6, when it settles into its Monday 8 PM time slot.

The series, starring Straight Outta Compton‘s Corey Hawkins, chronicles a race against the clock to stop a terrorist attack on U.S. soil. The trailer sketches out the details: Hawkins’ Eric Carter was part of an elite Army Rangers unit deployed by CTU to dispose of a terrorist leader. Back in America and trying to get back to normal, Carter finds out the leader’s crew has tracked his unit down, and the clock begins ticking from there. Miranda Otto and Jimmy Smits co-star.

24: Legacy will follow the original series’ real-time format but its order is for 12 episodes, not the first one’s 24. Howard Gordon, Brian Grazer, Manny Coto and Evan Katz executive produce with director Stephen Hopkins and 24 star Kiefer Sutherland.
