Nominations for the 20th annual Webby Awards, which honor the most noteworthy trends and advancements on the Internet, were announced this morning. Companies earning the most nominations include several traditional media outlets making inroads in the digital space: VICE Media led the way with 16 noms, followed by National Geographic (14), VRSE.Works (12), Google (11), HBO (10) and The New York Times (10). CNN had eight nominations, and along with the NYT snagged a nom for Best News Website; PBS had seven noms, CBS Interactive had six and Conan O’Brien’s Team COCO Digital five.

Also receiving noms were The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and HBO’s Game Of Thrones for Best Overall Social Media Presence. Fallon’s late-night rival Jimmy Kimmel landed a nom too, and Jerry Seinfeld’s Crackle series Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee landed a pair of noms in the list provided by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences. IADAS members will select the winners, which will be announced April 26 and presented at May 16 at Cipriani Wall Street.

The public has a chance to cast their votes for their pick of the best of the Internet. Voting for the Webby People’s Voice Awards is open from now until Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 11:59 PM (PT).
