When a trailer starts out with the words, “We’ve had peace in these lands for many years now,” you pretty much know the next line isn’t going to be, “and everything continues to be peachy!” No, instead it’s, “War is coming.” Game on.

Here is the latest look at Warcraft, Legendary and Blizzard Entertainment’s ambitious adaptation of the video game juggernaut. There is battlin’ aplenty — awash in the “shing” of unsheathed swords, bolts of electricity, ultraserious faces and genre-specific lines like: “This war will destroy us all. But together, we might stand a chance.”

Starring Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Clancy Brown and Dominic Cooper as King Llane Wrynn, the pic comes from director Duncan Jones and was scripted by Charles Leavitt. It’s produced by Charles Roven, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Alex Gartner and Stuart Fenegan, with Jillian Share, Brent O’Connor, Michael Morhaime and Paul Sams as exec producers. Universal clicks start on the film June 10.
