A few weeks ago Vice Media lost Chief Revenue Officer Richard Beckman — who had been there less than a year. But today the company has a new Chief Financial Officer: Sarah Broderick will oversee the global finance division.
Broderick was Chief Accounting Officer/Global Controller at WME | IMG, where she oversaw the global controllership organization and financial integration of the IMG and WME businesses. Before that, she was Deputy Controller at General Electric and had a stint as SVP at NBCUniversal, helping to integrate it with Comcast after the buyout.
“As Vice continues to expand into additional lines of business, and continues to grow internationally, Sarah’s experience at large, complex, global companies will be an incredible asset to our entire company,” Co-President James Schwab said. Added Broderick: “The growth that this company continues to achieve is just astounding, and the content is so relevant and completely unique. My job is to help put the financial infrastructure in place to allow it to continue to grow. Simply put, I love what Vice is doing, where it is headed, and I am thrilled to be a part of it.”
Vice has launched several growth initiatives in digital, mobile, social, and linear TV. It operates in 30 territories and has partnerships with Sky, HBO, Verizon, Snapchat, Canal+, and Rogers.
