Rob Shaftel, former Senior VP of Development at ITV Studios America, has launched a New York-based full-service unscripted production company called Hit+Run. The company will focus on creating “high concept and high quality character driven series” and original formats for broadcast, cable and digital platforms.

Shaftel will executive produce all Hit+Run series, with fellow ITV alum Noah Korn as Senior Director of Development.

In announcing the launch, the company says it has a current line-up of projects in various stages with Red Bull Media House, History, NatGeo, Oxygen and Animal Planet.

Shaftel most recently served as Senior Vice President of Development at ITV Studios America.  While there, he created and executive produced Secret Space Escapes (Science Channel), Rebel Gold (Discovery) and Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters (Animal Planet). He’s also spearheaded development for projects at ITV for Discovery, History, NatGeo, MTV, A&E and AMC, among others. Before ITV, he led development for Leftfield Pictures (Pawn Stars) as Vice President of Development, and before that held executive positions at Discovery and Spike.

Korn will be tasked with developing and formatting original, unscripted projects. Before Hit+Run, he was Director of Development in ITV Studios America’s New York office.
