Paul Hilepo is shuttering the Hartig Hilepo Agency at the end of this month. After a 25-year run as an agent, Hilepo will be starting a management company, PH Entertainment Group. Joining him will be long-term clients, Laverne Cox, Ken Leung Phyllis Somerville, Debbi Morgan, Samrat Chakrabarti, among others. In addition to managing his actor clients, Hilepo plans to help develop and produce projects for them.
Hartig Hilepo agent Liz Rosier also will switch to management, joining Rosier Artist Management. Agent Peter Sanfilippo will be pursuing new opportunities as an agent.
A New York staple, Hartig Hilepo originated as The Michael Hartig Agency, once owned and run by the late Michael Hartig. Hartig began his career in the late 1950s at the then-CMA Agency, departing shortly thereafter to open his own boutique talent agency where he represented such A-list performers as Rita Hayworth, Gloria Swanson, Helen Gallagher, Elaine Stritch, Eddie Bracken, Tyne Daly and Jerry Stiller.
In 2002, Hartig partnered with Hilepo who took over the agency following Hartig’s death in 2004.
