The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed that Charlie Sheen is under investigation for allegedly assaulting his ex-fiancée, porn star Brett Rossi, who filed a criminal threats complaint against him last week.

“On March 31, officers in the Van Nuys division responded to a criminal investigation in which Mr. Sheen was listed as a suspect,” an LAPD spokesman told Deadline. “LAPD threat-management detectives are the lead investigators. A search warrant has been obtained.”

According to Radar Online, which first reported the police probe, the search warrant states that Rossi told police “she endured domestic violence, physical assaults and death threats” during the time they were together and that “on several occasions Sheen had brandished firearms at her and threatened her life.”

According to the search warrant, she also claims that Sheen “had not disclosed the fact that he was HIV-positive” prior to their having unprotected sex.

Sheen said on NBC’s Today in November, “I’m here to admit that I’m in fact HIV-positive.” Asked later by Matt Lauer by he has told every one of his sexual partners since his diagnosis that he’s HIV-positive, the actor responded: “Yes, I have. No exception.”
