Cartoon Network can’t get enough of humanoid aliens or flying tigers that leave rainbow vapor trails. The cable net said today that it has ordered fifth seasons of its popular toons Steven Universe and Uncle Grandpa. Both series debuted in 2013 and hail from Cartoon Network Studios’ homegrown shorts development initiative.

CartoonNetworkCreated by Rebecca Sugar, Steven Universe revolves around the Crystal Gems — three magical defenders of the planet — and Steven, their proverbial “little brother” who helps them protect the world from their own kind. Its current third season resumes in June.

Pete Browngardt created Uncle Grandpa, which follows the misadventures of the eternally optimistic title character and his pals Belly Bag, Pizza Steve, Mr. Gus and, yes, Giant Realistic Flying Tiger. Starting in April, the Browngardt-voiced character will host a Saturday block called Good Mornings with Uncle Grandpa.
