The Office alum Craig Robinson is set for a recurring role in the upcoming second season of USA Network’s drama series Mr. Robot. Robinson will play Ray, a neighborhood local who reaches out to Elliot (Rami Malek) in his time of need. He joins recently announced Joey Bada$$ and Chris Conroy for the 10-episode second season.
Mr. Robot follows Elliot, a young programmer who works as a cybersecurity engineer by day and a vigilante hacker by night. The series is coming off Golden Globe wins for best TV series drama and supporting actor for Christian Slater, and Critics’ Choice Award wins for best drama series, best actor for Malek and supporting actor for Slater. Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, Grace Gummer, Michael Cristofer and Stephanie Corneliussen also star.
Known for his run as Darryl Philbin on The Office, Robinson’s film credits include Knocked Up, This Is the End, the Hot Tub Time Machine and its 2015 sequel. He also starred in and produced NBC comedy series Mr. Robinson.
