One of the defining elements of Netflix’s new dramedy/romantic comedy series Love, which debuted on the streaming service February 19, is the music. Not only that played by star and co-creator Paul Rust’s character in the show, but the original score written by Lyle Workman. In this exclusive behind the scenes featurette, Workman talks about how he approached that soundtrack, from the instruments he used to the way he tried to evoke the city of Los Angeles where Love is set in his music. Watch it here now.

Created by Judd Apatow, Paul Rust, and Lesley Arfin, Love stars Rust, Gillian Jacobs and Claudia O’Doherty. A second season will stream on Netflix in 2017.
