EXCLUSIVE: From 2004 to 2014, the legendary Brooklyn music venue Death by Audio provided an all ages, DIY place for some of the best indie rock of its era. Alas, the venue fell victim to New York’s rapid gentrification and was forced to close as the neighborhood was tranformed by sky high-priced developments. The SXSW documentary Goodnight Brooklyn: The Story of Death By Audio charts charts the venue’s final days through concert footage and interviews with club staff and the bands who played there. In this exclusive clip, the club’s legacy as an all ages cultural hotspot is celebrated at length.

Directed by Matt Conboy, the world premiere of Goodnight Brooklyn: The Story of Death By Audio happens Monday March 14th at 4:00 PM at the Stateside Theater. Subsequent screenings are scheduled for Tuesday the 15th at 2:00 PM at the Rollins Theater at the Long Center, and Friday the 18th at 10:00 PM at the Stateside Theater.
