ABC has announced the full cast of Dancing With The Stars Season 22 ahead of its March 21 premiere. Celebrity dancers include Mischa Barton (Notting Hill), Good Morning America meteorologist Ginger Zee, Living Single‘s Kim Fields, NFL star Antonio Brown and Jodie Sweetin (Fuller House). Here’s the complete list of celeb dancers and their professional partners:

Poor Mischa Barton. How the mighty have fallen. It’s pilot season for pete’s sake! Couldn’t she find herself a nice regular role on some pilot? Once you do DwtS you’re done in the industry. She has to make to at least second half of the show’s season to prove she’s still viable to producers. If she’ll go home as one of the first she’s seriously done. And the thing is this show is watched by people over sixty, they don’t don’t know her.
You’re done in the industry? I think many stars who have revitalized their careers would beg to differ. They suddenly are on people’s radar again & get a huge amount of publicity. They might get different type of work but they get work. That, along with the check, is the only reason to go on this show

actually it helped Kelly Pickler (new reality show), Donny & Marie (Vegas Show), Bindi Irwin (all kinds of new offers), Rumer Willis (Chicago, etc.), Brook Burke (she got the DWtS hosting gig after that), Melissa Rycroft (lots of hosting gigs), Alfonso Ribeiro (replacing Bergeron on Funniest Home Vidoes), Kirstie Alley (new sitcom, diet spokesperson, etc.), Erin Andrews (she got the DWtS hosting gig after Brook), Ricki Lake (talk show), Candace Cameron Bure (The View) – and those are just the top threes. To be honest, it really mostly helps the “has beens” or the “who are theys?” – but it definitely revives careers.

Plenty of those who have competed on the show have gotten a good boost career-wise thanks to the publicity blitz and changing people’s perception of them.
For example, Gilles Marini landed Brothers & Sisters, Kirstie Alley got a new sitcom, Marie and Donny Osmond booked a long-term Vegas act, Mario Lopez is now on Extra, Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence landed their own sitcom on ABC Family, Alfonso Ribeiro took over from Tom Bergeron as host of America’s Funniest Home Videos, Zendaya just booked the new Spider-Man movie, Niecy Nash landed a bunch of shows including Getting On and Scream Queens, Harry Hamlin got guest starring gigs including on Shameless, Ricki Lake got a talk show, Marlee Matlin got more TV guest spots, Rumer Willis scored a stint on Chicago on Broadway, Carlos PenaVega was on Grease Live, Candace Cameron Bure got a few Hallmark Channel movies plus the Netflix revival Fuller House plus a hosting gig on The View, and Patti LaBelle landed American Horror Story.
By the way, I’m in my thirties. Not sixty. It’s referred to as a family show for a reason because it attracts all age groups. Showing your ignorance again. What else is new?
All rumors correct. Typical has been trying to revive their career. People already doing reality shows and the required ‘star’ who does any reality show for a check & has already done the Apprentice. Marla Maples to capitalize on Trump is disgusting. And of course corporate synergy to boost GMA ratings even more. Let’s not get into the ones with dance experience

I wouldn’t know 5 of these “stars” if they sat down next to me at lunch.
Derek isn’t on the show this season. It’s going to suck. Boo.
He has one more season still left on his contract but his Broadway show Singing in the Rain starts in 2017 so if he can’t do this season because of that, he won’t be able to do next season or the one after that either. So don’t expect to see him on the show in a long while if he even comes back at all. Maybe Harvey bought Derek out and DWTS just doesn’t want to admit it yet.
Dancing with Who ?
This just proves what I’ve always said: People will watch regardless of who the “stars” are. Why get bigger names when they’re not needed?
That’s the fun of the show.
