20th Century Fox TV research executive Casey Kyber is moving to the creative side, joining the studio’s drama development department as VP, Drama Development. She will work alongside VP Drama Development Chloe Dan and Manager, Drama Development Jenna Dim, reporting to EVP of Development Michael Thorn. (20th TV has not have a formal head of drama since Thorn, who held the position, was promoted to oversee drama and comedy development in 2014).

There are vacancies in 20th TV’s drama development that Kyber’s hire will help to fill. VP Mark Ambrose left to join Marvel Television, and SVP Lisa Katz is departing at the end of her current contract in July.

“Casey has been a trusted advisor to our development and current programming departments for years, and she’s been an invaluable resource to our creators literally from the first draft of their pilots,” said 20th TV president of creative affairs Jonathan Davis. “Her background in research makes her the perfect addition to our already formidable team, because she’ll come at the development process from an entirely new angle. She’s also beloved, both at this company and in the community.”

In her prior position, Kyber oversaw the studio’s primary and secondary research efforts, from providing ratings analysis and tracking series awareness, to leading focus group testing of both new and returning shows.

Kyber began her career at CBS in 1997 as a college intern in the research department, eventually taking the full time position of Research Analyst with the network. She joined 20th TV in 2000 as Manager, Research and Marketing, and rose through the ranks to SVP.
