In Fox Searchlight’s A Bigger Splash, Tilda Swinton stars as rock legend Marianne Lane, recuperating from throat surgery on the volcanic island of Pantelleria with her partner Paul (Matthias Schoenaerts). Who should show up but ex-flame and producer Harry (Ralph Fiennes), with his fetching daughter Penelope (Dakota Johnson), and complications, as they say, ensue.

Deadline’s Nancy Tartaglione noted in its Venice unveiling that the new film from Luca Guadagnino (I Am Love) and screenwriter David Kajganich “is a loose remake of Jacques Deray’s La Piscine, which was also taken for a dip by François Ozon with his 2003 Cannes entry Swimming Pool.” The new trailer that dropped today also features Fiennes rocking out to the Rolling Stones’ “Emotional Rescue.”

The R-rated movie opens in New York and L.A. on May 4, with select theaters nationwide getting it on May 13.
