In his new role, Reed will expand the scope of his current EVP duties to include directly overseeing the entire senior team and all unscripted and digital development/series, while continuing to expand new business opportunities and seek out new international formats and acquisitions. Additionally, Reed will continue to facilitate Incufactory Incubator deals and will take a more active role in developing, selling and producing scripted projects.
“Adam has contributed immensely to the evolution of Thinkfactory Media and, in his new role, is poised to further grow the company and groom a new group of executives,” said Leslie Greif, CEO & Founder of Thinkfactory Media. “Adam’s unequalled skill set as a shrewd salesman, an intuitive creative developer and a savvy business executive is rare in this business, as is his equal dexterity in working across all genres of television, now expanding into the digital space. I am thrilled to witness this exciting milestone, both for Adam and the future of Thinkfactory.”
During his 12-year tenure with Thinkfactory, Reed has been credited with transitioning the small boutique production entity known originally as The Greif Company into a mainstay network supplier, producing in every television genre in both the scripted and unscripted worlds and across networks including Lifetime, TLC, History, TV One and Discovery. Under Reed’s direction, Thinkfactory recently announced a partnership with hip hop legend, Michel’le, for the scripted TV movie Girl From The Hood, and is developing the Tony-winning Musical Million Dollar Quartet into a scripted drama series for CMT. Reed also is behind the Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars franchise for WE tv, which has been picked up through Season 5. His other credits include A&E docu-soap Gene Simmons Family Jewels, Married By Mom & Dad, Preachers’ Daughters, Dead Of Winter: The Donner Party, Prank My Mom, Mounted in Alaska, Teach: Tony Danza and R&B Divas.
Reed also recently authored his first children’s book, Bee in the Sea, which has received three first-place Royal Dragonfly Awards, including Best New Author. His second book, Star in the Car, is due out in 2016.
