Steve Harvey killed it in syndicated ratings for the week ending January 24, with a little help by a dissed Miss Universe and her first runner-up who appeared on Harvey’s talker Steve Harvey. Harvey-hosted Family Feud also hit its highest national household and demo ratings since the advent of People’s Meters in 1987 (7.5 rating, up 7% from the week before). Talker Steve Harvey scored the best ratings in its four-year history, drawing 3.15 million viewers, in no small thanks to his January 18 and 19 episodes with newly crowned Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and first runner-up from Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez. Of course, Harvey made pageant history when he mistakenly announced Miss Colombia as the contest winner.

Other record highs for the week of January 18 – sophomore court show Hot Bench clocked a new all-time high, up 44% from last year at this time with an audience of 3.7 million. Rachael Ray (1.7, up 6%) climbed to a new season high. Year-to-year Rachael Ray was up 21%, the most of any talk show. Dr. Phil was the No. 1 talk show as usual (3.4, up 6%) while matching its season high. Also notching a new season high was Meredith Vieira (1.1, up 10%), which tied The Real (1.1, unchanged) and The Doctors (1.1, unchanged). And, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire With Chris Harrison logged new season highs in Households (+7% – 1.5 rating vs. 1.4 rating), Total Viewers (+9% – 2.137 million vs. 1.958 million), Adults 25-54 (+20% – 0.6 rating vs. 0.5 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.7 rating to 0.5 rating). The Women 25-54 demo was up 40% week-to-week.
