Oscar Nominees Lunch: The 2016 Class Photo

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ annual Oscar Nominees Luncheon was this afternoon at the Beverly Hilton. The event celebrating this year’s noms for the 88th Oscars drew about 150 nominees, AMPAS officials estimated to Deadline’s Pete Hammond, who was on the scene (his report is coming later today). Among the attendees were most Best Actor and Best Actress noms (minus Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett), all the Best Director noms including just-minted DGA winner Alejandro González Iñárritu and almost all the nominated producers.

Here’s the Academy’s nominee photo, a tradition for the past 41 years. Check back later for full caption info of who’s who. (Click photo to enlarge.)

    1. A Jewish person, like myself, might take offense at that racist and inhuman comment. But I won’t. I will just chalk it up to ignorance.

  1. Where is Ben Carson. I’m assuming this is a republican convention of some sort, what with all the white people.

  2. A Ticker Tape of the names of people to mention. Brilliant!
However, does anyone have a hope in hell that this will work?

  3. Can’t believe only one black person! Seriously?? It’s 2016. Thought we’d be past this. Very disappointing to me.
