Amazon has renewed Golden Globe-winning Mozart In The Jungle for a third season. Production will begin later this year.

Starring Gael García Bernal, Lola Kirke and Bernadette Peters, Mozart In The Jungle will continue the story of the talented, contentious musicians who perform (and live) with passion under the baton of its spirited single-name conductor Rodrigo (Bernal). Executive produced by Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman, Alex Timbers and Paul Weitz, Season 3 will see Rodrigo and many musicians take their talents to Europe.

Based on Blair Tindall’s critically acclaimed memoir Mozart In The Jungle: Sex, Drugs & Classical Music, the series draws back the curtain at the New York Symphony, where artistic dedication and creativity collide with mind games, politicking and survival instincts. The series also stars Saffron Burrows, Malcolm McDowell, Hannah Dunne and Schwartzman.

Agree, and it's unlike anything else on TV.

The series won the Golden Globe for best musical or comedy series last month, with Bernal winning the Globe for best actor in a musical or comedy series.
