Ashley Zamora (Gang Related) has booked a series regular role on TV Land’s Lopez, a semi-autobiographical, single camera comedy starring and executive produced by George Lopez. It revolves around America’s most successful Hispanic American comedian (George Lopez) playing himself, and explores how he struggles between his two worlds and crises – often of his own making. Zamora plays Erica, George’s expressive teenage daughter. Smart and observant, Erica is constantly embarrassed by her dad’s actions, especially as George personally struggles to find his place among the worlds of race, class and fame. Zamora is repped by Discover Management and Mavrick Artists.
Cedric Yarbrough (The Goldbergs) is set as a series regular in ABC comedy pilot Speechless from Scott Silveri and 20th Century Fox TV. The project centers on a family with a special-needs child described as being “good at dealing with the challenges it faces and excellent at creating new ones.” Yarbrough will play Kenneth, a groundskeeper at Bronxville High. He has a run-in with Maya who throws a fit because the wheelchair ramp doubles as a ramp for garbage dumpster. Yarbrough’s recent credits include HBO’s Ballers, upcoming feature The Boss with Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Bell, and The House with Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler. He’s repped by Global Artists Agency and Principato Young.
