EXCLUSIVE: Freestyle Digital Media has set a release date for coming-of-age feature KTown CowboysDirected by Daniel Park, the film will get a limited theatrical release March 18, followed by a nationwide digital platform bow March 25. Based on the web series, the pic revolves around a group of friends contending with their evolution into adulthood. In the midst of their individual plights, the group bands together in Koreatown and, through late-night debaucheries, each emerges as a better version of himself.

Debuting at SXSW last year, KTown Cowboys was written by Danny Cho and Brian Chung with Dr. Ken star Ken Jeong serving as executive producer. It features many of the web series’ cast including Cho, Sunn Wee, Peter Jae, Shane Yoon and Bobby Choy as well as cameos from Daniel Dae Kim, Steve Byrne, Simon Rhee, Kim Young Chul, and Eric Roberts.

The film was produced by Brian Chung, Greg Bishop, and Daniel Sollinger of Musa Productions and also  executive produced by Sam Chi of Texas Investments.  The deal was brokered by Chris Charalambous on behalf of Freestyle, and by Chung and Bishop on behalf of Musa Productions.
