EXCLUSIVE: Julia Ormond is confirmed to co-star opposite Peter Dinklage in Rememory. The Mark Palansky helmed pic revolves around a professor who mysteriously dies just before the release his game changing big invention. Replacing Catherine O’Hara in the film, Emmy winner Ormond will plays spouse Carolyn, who discovers the memory recoding and playing device.
With help from an unlikely friend portrayed by Game Of Thrones Emmy winner Dinklage, Ormond’s character uses the invention to get to the bottom of her husband’s death and more. Like so many films and TV shows, production is set to begin this month in Vancouver.
Palansky directs from a script he developed with scribe Mike Vukadinovich. Lee Clay. Daniel Bekerman and Shawn Angelski are producing with Jim Reeve and Robert Halmi Jr as EPs. Rememory is a bit of flashback for Dinklage and Palansky. The two worked together on 2006’s Penelope, which debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival that year. Dinklage and Palansky are aiming to work together again on The Jester, which is based on an Edgar Allen Poe story.
Ormond will next be seen in Syfy’s futuristic thriller drama series Incorporated, which Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are EPing. The actress, who won an supporting actress Emmy back in 2010 for HBO’s Temple Grandin, is repped by Gersh and Creative Partners Group.
