Barbara Hall, creator/executive producer of Madam Secretary, has signed a new two-year overall deal with the studio behind the sophomore CBS drama series, CBS Television Studios. Under the pact, she will continue as executive producer/showrunner on Madam Secretary while also developing new projects for the studio.
Madam Secretary, starring Tea Leoni, is averaging 12.47 million viewers in the Sunday 8 PM slot and ranks high with upscale audiences.
Before Madam Secretary, Hall created two other drama series for CBS, the long-running Judging Amy as well as Joan of Arcadia. She is repped by UTA, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Ziffren.
