Vin Diesel has long been the public face of Universal’s enormous Fast and Furious franchise, and that’s been especially true since the tragic death of Paul Walker over Thanksgiving weekend 2013. So it is that Vin Diesel was the one to give the acceptance speech when the latest film in the series, Furious 7, was twice awarded during tonight’s People’s Choice Awards for Favorite Movie and for Favorite Action Movie.

Diesel began to lose his composure somewhat, telling the audience that holding two awards in his hands, “I think of Dom and Brian, and I start to think of Paul.” Diesel thanked those who voted for the film, praised his fellow castmembers and crew, and hinted that yes, the series may indeed go to ten films. As his time ran out, he sang a verse from “See You Again,” the Wiz Khalifa that closes out Furious 7. Curious? Yes you are, and you can watch it here now.

Furious 7 was an enormous hit in 2015, raking in a billion dollars for Universal, and thus it’s unsurprising that further installments of the series are being made. Fast and Furious 8 is currently in preproduction with Straight Outta Compton helmer F. Gary Gray directing.
