EXCLUSIVE: UK writer-director Jim Hosking has signed with UTA for representation in all areas. The deal was just sealed in a competitive situation on the sidelines of the Sundance Film Festival, and the ink is dry just in time for the premiere of Hosking’s feature directorial debut The Greasy Strangler, which bows tonight in the fest’s Midnight section at the Library Center Theatre.
Hosking co-wrote and directed Channel 4’s comedy miniseries Privado, and his 2010 short film Renegades — which he wrote and directed along with composing the music — was at Sundance in 2010. He began his career directing promos at MTV.
He continues to be repped by Independent Talent Group in the UK.
