EXCLUSIVE: Broad Green Pictures has acquired the graphic novel series The Time Museum for Josephson Entertainment’s Barry Josephson and Liz Bassin to produce. The series, to be published by First Second/Macmillan early next year, was written by Matt Loux. It centers on a precocious yet socially awkward high school girl who discovers a mysterious institution called the Earth Time Museum. Time travel is involved.

The deal was brokered by Sean Daily at Hotchkiss and Associates on behalf of Seth Fishman at The Gernert Company. Vincent Gatewood is overseeing the project for Broad Green.

While Broad Green is back here at Sundance after turning A Walk In The Woods into the highest-grossing acquisition of the 2015 festival, the company also has become aggressive in developing homegrown film projects. That includes a team-up with Imagine on the L.A. riots film that was written and will be directed by American Crime‘s John Ridley. The company days ago bought the Tyger Williams pitch Bad Influence.
