Empire star Taraji P. Henson, fresh off winning a Golden Globe last night, has signed with UTA.

Henson plays the larger-than-life Cookie Lyon on Empire, the highest-rated scripted program on broadcast television, for which she won the 2016 Golden Globe for best lead actress in a drama series and the 2015 NAACP Entertainer of the Year Award and also received an Emmy nomination last year.

EmpireOn TV, Henson previously starred for three seasons on the popular CBS drama Person Of Interest. In film, she starred opposite Idris Elba in Screen Gems’ No.1 box-office opener No Good Deed and co-starred in David Fincher’s The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button opposite Brad Pitt, landing an supporting actress Oscar nomination. Henson’s other film credits include Hustle & Flow, opposite her Empire co-star Terrence Howard; Think Like A Man; and Date Night.

Henson, who had been without agency representation, continues to be repped by longtime manager Vincent Cirrincione of Vincent Cirrincione Associates.
