EXCLUSIVE: Melody C. Roscher and Craig Shilowich, whose drama Christine will make its world premiere at Sundance this month, have launched production company the Wonder Club and announced its next film. They said Wonder Club aims “to make sumptuous, entertaining movies that embrace the oddity of existence,” they said.

ChristineChristine, based on the 1974 true story of troubled news anchor Christine Chubbuck, is the company’s first film. Directed by Antonio Campos and written by Shilowich, it stars Rebecca Hall and Michael C. Hall. The Wonder Club produced the film in association with Borderline Films and Great Point Media. The company’s next project will be Our Band Is Forever, which Roscher is set to direct as her feature film debut. It revolves around a sequestered American family folk band attempting to tour in Bavaria. Plots details are being kept under wraps.

Roscher and Shilowich have been working together on commercials and music videos since 2007 and separately, have made films with the likes of David Gordon Green, Borderline Films, Supermarché, and Todd Solondz. They also recently produced Ben Dickinson’s feature film Creative Control, which premiered at SXSW last year and will be distributed by Amazon and Magnolia Pictures.
