On Monday, Paul vowed to boycott tonight’s GOP debates, after Fox Business Network’s poll-result-culling process sent him, and Carly Fiorina, to the kids table. “I won’t participate in anything that’s not first tier because we have a first-tier campaign,” Paul said, while his campaign said he would instead take his message directly to the people. Forgot to mention, “with bourbon.”
Meanwhile, tonight’s episode of what’s become the most popular new series on TV will star Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Jeb Bush and John Kasich. Joining Fiorina for her return to the opening-act debate are Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum. Trump warmed up for tonight’s performance earlier this week with a return visit to The Tonight Show, on NBC where, just yesterday the chairman of NBC Entertainment anointed Trump “one of the most prominent political figures of our time.” And Hillary Clinton tonight is making another visit to The Tonight Show, where they’re sure to discuss Trump’s debate performance.
Here’s Part 2 of the extended The Daily Show “debate.” Broadcast and cable-news networks might want to take away a few pointers. Specifically: bourbon.
