ESPN has tapped returning reporter Rachel Nichols as host of a new, daily NBA-focused program. The Jump is slated to debut Thursday, February 18 when NBA games resume following the All-Star break. Airing on ESPN at 3:30 PM ET Monday-Friday, the half-hour program originating from ESPN’s L.A. studios, will include regular appearances by current and former NBA players, as well as ESPN analysts, reporters and insiders.

ESPN announced in November that then-CNN sports reporter Nichols would be returning to ESPN, where she worked from 2004-2013. She was announced as Jeff Zucker’s first official hire at CNN, just four days after he took over in January 2013.

In addition to hosting the new program, Nichols will extensively contribute to SportsCenter with commentary, interviews and features. She will also occasionally host Outside the Lines, and contribute to ESPN’s prime time newsmagazine E:60, according to the network.
