Kadee Strickland is set to co-star opposite Jeffrey Donovan in Hulu’s original drama series Shut Eye. The series, from creator Les Bohem, Tri-Star Television and Mark Johnson’s Gran Via Productions, takes a darkly comedic look at the underground world of Los Angeles storefront psychics and the organized crime syndicate that runs them. The story revolves around Charlie Haverford (Donovan)a disgruntled player in the organization who finds his cynical world view challenged when he starts to experience visions that may or may not be real.

Private Practice alumna Strickland plays Linda, a beautiful former dancer and Charlie’s wife. Struck with occasional bouts of manic depression, Linda is a self-described housewife who makes money on the side as a fortune teller entertaining at upscale parties, though what she truly desires is for Charlie to break away from his crooked and violent boss, Fonzo, so that they can make some real money running scams on their own.

Shut Eye is executive produced by showrunner Bohem and Gran Via Prods’ Johnson and Melissa Bernstein. The 10-episode series is set to shoot in Vancouver with Johan Renck directing. Strickland, who recently co-starred on the first installment of ABC’s Secrets & Lies, is repped by WME, Anonymous Content and attorney Neil Meyer.
