Former Playboy Enterprises exec Jimmy Jellinek has joined Turner as vice president of content marketing and digital innovation for TBS and TNT. It’s the latest move in the expansion of the marketing team for TBS and TNT under President and Chief Creative Officer Kevin Reilly, following the promotion of Jeff Gregor to chief catalyst officer for TBS and TNT, and the appointment of Michael Engleman as EVP entertainment marketing and brand innovation for the networks.
Based in Los Angeles and reporting to Engleman, Jellinek is responsible for leading the development of all content marketing for TBS and TNT, as well as overseeing multi-platform content publishing and social media amplification.
Jellinek joins Turner after serving as the president of entertainment and chief content officer for Playboy Enterprises and the editorial director of Playboy and Playboy.com. In his previous role, Jellinek oversaw content development for the company’s media properties, including print, online, mobile, TV, film and radio.
“Jimmy comes to TBS & TNT with a wide range of experience in traditional marketing, as well as digital and social media, not to mention a wildly creative sense of innovation and storytelling,” said Engleman. “He’ll play a critical role in how TNT and TBS build relationships with fans, moving both networks toward a more content-centric marketing model and growing our audience affinity across platforms. We’re thrilled to welcome him.”
