EXCLUSIVE: After spending two decades as a talent agent and manager working for other companies, Jennifer Gabler Rawlings is starting her own management company, Omni Artists Limited. She leaves Principato Young Entertainment, where she has been since joining Peter Principato and Paul Young in 2012. I’m told the exit is an amicable one, born of Rawlings’ desire to hang her own shingle.
She has a varied group of clients from actors to athletes, and they include John Malkovich, Viggo Mortensen, Samantha Morton, Sarah Snook, Eleanor Tomlinson, Alex Lawther, Alison Lohman, Mitzi Ruhlmann, Kate Del Castillo, Yorick Van Wageningen, Georgia Flood and Annalise Phillips. She also reps Rachel Daly (the St. John’s soccer player who was the highest-scoring player in Division I this season and is about to enter the draft after graduating), and David Copeland-Smith (owner and CEO of Beast Mode Soccer).
Rawlings, the daughter of former CAA co-chairman Lee Gabler and stepdaughter of Fox 2000 President Elizabeth Gabler, started as a trainee at CAA in 1991 and was promoted to agent after working on the desk of Bryan Lourd. She became partner in 2003. She left for Endeavor and was a partner before the merger with WMA to form WME. After 16 years as an agent, Rawlings switched to management to be more hands-on with clients, when she joined Principato Young.
She’ll be CEO of Omni Artists Limited, where she and her staff will manage those existing clients and build a business.
