EXCLUSIVE: Fox 2000 has acquired The Fixer, a package for a film that will star Jennifer Aniston as Denise White, a former Miss USA contestant who rose to the top of the male-dominated world of professional sports management by establishing herself as a tireless defender of her high-profile clients when their images were in serious peril.
The studio has acquired a pitch by Dallas Buyers Club screenwriter Melisa Wallack, along with White’s life rights and Paul Solotaroff’s Men’s Journal article “The Woman Who Bails Out The NFL’s Bad Boys.” There has been a conversation with James Gray about directing, but at the moment that hasn’t come to fruition. Aniston and Kristin Hahn will produce through Echo Films (Cake), along with Steve Barnett and Bernie Goldmann. Fox 2000’s Nick D’Angelo is shepherding this for the studio.
Aniston is repped by CAA and Brillstein Entertainment Partners, Hahn by CAA, Wallack by WME, White by attorney Arash Khalili, and ICM Partners repped the magazine writer. Aleen Keshishian will be exec producer. Zack Morgenroth is co-producer.
