Vacation’s almost over for Kaan Associates, Dr. Frankenstein and the like. Showtime revealed at TCA today that Season 5 of its comedy House Of Lies will premiere at 9 PM April 10 and the third season of Victorian gothic series Penny Dreadful will bow at 10 PM May 1.

The House Of Lies cast and crew are in Havana filming the fifth-season finale, marking the first time a U.S. scripted series has shot in Cuba since the House of Lies Season 5U.S. and Cuba restored diplomatic relations last summer. Based on the book by Martin Kihn, the dark comedy stars Don Cheadle as Marty Kaan, a manipulative management consultant with a singular focus – ascending from millionaire mogul to global dominator. No longer content with fleecing big-money clients, he’s upping the stakes in a highly calculated winner-take-all power play that will land him and his pod – Jeannie (Kristen Bell), Clyde (Ben Schwartz) and Doug (Josh Lawson) – in Cuba. Donis Leonard Jr and Glynn Turman also are back for the fifth go-round, along with guest stars including Wanda Jackson, Keegan-Michael Key, Ken Marino, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, John Cho, Donald Faison and Nicky Whelan. EPs Matthew Carnahan. Jessika Borsiczky, Cheadle and David Walpert are back for Season 5.

Psychological thriller Penny Dreadful sees Patti LuPone — who guested on the show last season –returning as a Penny Dreadful Season 3regular playing Dr. Seward, an American therapist who treats Vanessa (Eva Green) with an unconventional new approach. Wes Studi joins the cast as Kaetenay, an intense, enigmatic Native American with a deep connection to Ethan (Josh Hartnett) who also becomes an ally to Sir Malcolm (Timothy Dalton). The third season also adds Dr. Henry Jekyll (Shazad Latif) alongside returning cast members Billie Piper, Reeve Carney, Simon Russell Beale, Rory Kinnear and Harry Treadaway. Guest stars this season include Christian Camargo, Sam Barnett and Jessica Barden and Perdita Weeks. Exec producers are John Logan, Sam Mendes and Pippa Harris.
