Paul Greenberg, CEO of multi-platform media company and magazine about pop culture, fashion and music, has been named FYI logoEVP and General Manager of A+E Networks’ FYI, effective January 19. His appointment ends an executive search Nancy Dubuc, President and CEO of A+E Networks, launched in September when Jana Bennett, then president of FYI and LMN, was named president and general manager of History.

LMN, which historically has had close ties with Lifetime, is being reunited with the larger female-centric network and has joined the portfolio of Rob Sharenow, EVP and General Manager of A&E and Lifetime.

Based in New York, Greenberg will be responsible for overseeing all activities for FYI, reporting to Dubuc.“Paul has his finger on the pulse of the dynamic lifestyle world,” she said. “Coupled with his rich background in media and technology, I know he will lead the team to take FYI to the next level in both the linear and digital realms.”

Greenberg was named CEO of Nylon in October 2014. During his first year there, the site’s audience grew from 200,000 unique monthly visitors to 4.2 million, video viewership rose 1,200%, and it forged partnerships with Amazon, Endemol and Yahoo.

Like Nylon, FYI is considered an edgy lifestyle brand with such series as Married at First Sight, Married at First Sight: The First Year, Seven Year Switch, Tiny House Nation and Arranged. During 2015, its first full year after the July 2014 rebrand from BIO, FYI posted +26% year-to-year increase among Women 18-49,  +6% among Adults 18-49 and +4% in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54.

Prior to Nylon, Greenberg was President of leading dance music company SFX and CEO of IAC’s CollegeHumor. During his tenure there, traffic and revenue tripled and CollegeHumor became the seventh-largest YouTube channel, with more than 125 million video views per month across all platforms. Before that, Greenberg was President, Digital, of Time Inc. Lifestyle Group; EVP and General Manager of TV Guide Digital; SVP, Global Business Development and Partner Relations at MediaNet; VP Business Operations, at MTV Networks’ MTV.com; and Director of Business Development for Affiliate Sales at MTV Networks. He began his career as a sports announcer at 1010 WINS in New York.
