It will be a true Desperate Housewives reunion in Season 4 of Devious Maids. Exec producer Eva Longoria is set to guest star in the fourth season premiere of the Lifetime series and will be reuniting with her former Desperate Housewives’ co-star James Denton (The Good Witch), who’s signed on for a recurring role. Also joining as a recurring is Latin American star Sol Rodriguez (Tierra de Reyes), and Nathan Owens, who joined last season in a recurring role has been upped to series regular for Season 4. Julie Claire, who recurred last season, also will be returning for Season 4. Production begins later this month in Atlanta.
No details, but Lifetime says Longoria will make a one-time guest appearance in the season premiere. Denton, who played plumber Mike Delfino in Desperate Housewives, will play Peter, the charming, confident head of a movie studio who falls hard and fast into a new relationship this season. Rodriguez is Daniela, a sexy, fun, and unpredictable Latina in her 20’s who loves to stir the pot. She arrives in Beverly Hills with dreams of stardom and is easily tempted by the fabulous lifestyles of the rich and famous. They join returning cast Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramirez, Roselyn Sanchez, Judy Reyes, Susan Lucci, Grant Show, Rebecca Wisocky and Tom Irwin.
Inspired by the hit telenovela, Ellas son… la alegría del hogar, Devious Maids is produced by ABC Studios. The series was created by Marc Cherry (Desperate Housewives) and is executive produced by Cherry, Sabrina Wind (Desperate Housewives), Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives), Brian Tanen (Desperate Housewives), Curtis Kheel, Larry Shuman (Kissing Miranda), David Lonner, John Mass, and Televisa USA’s Paul Presburger and Michael Garcia.
