Firehouse 51 is adding some female bonding. Miranda Rae Mayo (Blood & Oil) has joined the cast of Dick Wolf ‘s hit NBC drama Chicago-Fireseries in a major recurring role that could potentially become a regular. Mayo will play Stella Kidd, a fun, bawdy, tough, physical and brazen firefighter joining Firehouse 51 who is funny, sharp as a tack and fearless. With her on board, Dawson (Monica Raymund) will no longer be the only female firefighter on the truck. While this is rare, I hear the producers drew inspiration from real-life firehouses that have featured two female firefighters.

Chicago Fire, from Wolf Films and Universal Television, is in its fourth season and already has been renewed for Season 5. Wolf, Matt Olmstead, Danielle Gelber, Michael Brandt, Derek Haas, Joe Chappelle, Arthur Forney and Peter Jankowski are executive producers.

Mayo was a regular on ABC’s Blood & Oil and previously recurred on Pretty Little Liars and The Game. She is repped by Sharon Paz at Abrams and Sheila Crawford Management.
