Following a strong premiere, Showtime’s new Wall Street drama Billions has been picked up for a second season just two episodes into its freshman run. The opening episode of the series starring Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti garnered 6.5 million multiplatform viewers in its first week to set a Showtime record, topping the 2013 Ray Donovan debut by 7%.

Created and executive produced by Brian Koppelman, David Levien and Andrew Ross Sorkin, Billions takes an insider look at the world of high finance by tracking the approaching collision between two titanic figures: the hard-charging, politically savvy U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti) and the brilliant, ambitious hedge fund king Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Lewis). Maggie Siff, Malin Akerman, Toby Leonard Moore, David Costabile and Condola Rashad co-star.
