Live+3 results are in and great news for FX. Thursday’s premiere of its new comedy Baskets drew 1.05 million adults 18-49 and 1.75 million total viewers in Live+3, making it the most-watched basic cable comedy series premiere since 2014.

In addition, the comedy starring, co-created and executive produced by Zach Galifianakis, had the largest three-day lift of any FX comedy series premiere among adults 18-49 (+80%), topping previous Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll (+61%), according to the network and Nielsen stats.

In Baskets, Chip Baskets (Galifianakis) wants to follow his dream of being a French clown – however, reality keeps interfering. Saddled with financial difficulties and facing an impenetrable language barrier, he moves back home to Bakersfield with high hopes. There, he is forced to confront his past while working as a rodeo clown and competing with his siblings for his mother’s (Louie Anderson) approval and affection. Martha Kelly also stars.

Baskets was co-created by executive producers Jonathan Krisel, Louis C.K. and Galifianakis. M. Blair Breard, Dave Becky, Marc Gurvitz and Andrea Pett-Joseph are also executive producers. The series is produced by FX Productions.
