A surprise from Warner Bros today, it’s the unexpected first teaser for the studio’s upcoming animated pic Storks. Starring Andy Samberg, Kelsey Grammer, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, the film posits the idea that once upon a time Storks really did deliver babies. Now, however, they deliver packages for the internet giant Cornerstore.com. When Junior (Samberg), the company’s top delivery stork accidentally activates the Baby Making Machine, producing an adorable and wholly unauthorized baby girl, he’s forced to team up with his friend Tulip, the only human in the facility, to deliver the baby before his bosses find out.

The teaser doesn’t have any of that of course, instead Featuring Grammer’s captivating baritone voicing a stork who clearly must be Junior’s boss in the film. In the background is Tulip, whose voice actress still has not been announced. Will it be funny? Nicholas Stoller wrote the script and is co-directing the film with Doug Sweetland. Stoller also produces along with Brad Lewis, while Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Glenn Ficarra, John Requa, and Jared Stern exec produce. That’s quite the a behind-the-scenes team.

We’ll find out one way or the other next fall. Storks comes to full term in the U.S. September 23, and in the UK October 24.
